In honor of our new registry, we’re showcasing some brides who made Weezie a part of their big day. We want allll the details: how they met their special someone, what the planning process was like, and – of course – how these brides #enjoythestay.

Today, Sophie Nosseir, a Weezie customer from DC registered for our starter pack for a full bathroom refresh.

Hit us with all the details! How did you and your fiance meet? How did he propose?
We started dating six years ago after meeting through mutual friends while living in New York City! In 2016, Zach moved to Charlottesville to get his MBA at Darden, and I followed him to do the same the following year. He moved to DC when he graduated as I was finishing up my second year at school. Around this time last year, he came down to Charlottesville for a long weekend over the President's Day holiday. We had dinner plans at a local restaurant for a belated Valentine’s Day celebration, and as we were in my apartment getting ready to head out to dinner, he got down on one knee and popped the question. Cue the happy tears! When we got to the restaurant, the hostess led us into a private room where 20 of our friends and family were waiting to surprise me. It was the perfect mix of a special moment shared between just the two of us, and then celebrating with loved ones right away!

What have you enjoyed most about the wedding planning process?
I have loved the creative process and working with different vendors to help bring my vision for the big day to life. It’s so fun seeing it start to come together now that we are just a few months out! We have our menu and cake tasting coming up soon, and I have a feeling that will be one of my favorite parts as well :)

How do you and your fiance #enjoythestay (especially during the craziness of wedding planning!)?
We have become big candle people - we love to light a few candles at the end of a long workday to make our apartment feel cozy and relaxing. We also love to do date night every week, either at a causal neighborhood spot or a new DC restaurant and make sure to talk about non-wedding related stuff!

Let’s get to it: Registry! Other than Weezie towels, of course, what product(s) are you most excited about on your registry?
I love to cook, so I am most excited to upgrade our kitchen with some beautiful Le Creuset pieces - The round Dutch oven, rectangular casserole dish, and their everyday pan/braiser are all on my registry!

P.S. Sophie and Zach brought Weezie all the way to Egypt. I spy a Weezie camel!

Any obscure or unexpected items you (or more likely, your fiance!) are insisting you register for?
Zach is very excited about hopefully receiving a YETI cooler.

Which Weezie towels are you registering for?

Product: Starter Pack - time to upgrade our bath linens with all the essentials!

  • Piping  color: Navy
  • Thread color: Navy
