This month, we are so excited to announce the launch of our Weezie registry! Perfect timing, too, because we have our very own Weezie bride to celebrate: our Brand Marketing Manager, Mary Shaffer. She has come a long way since the proposal in March 2019 -- including stressful setbacks like losing her first venue in Abaco, Bahamas due to Hurricane Dorian-- but now, she is ready to seal the deal this July.
Of course, before the big day, Weezie HQ threw a little luncheon with so much love in the air and some soft and fluffy goodies- it was a lunch to dream about...
What Mary Shaffer Registered For:
As our Brand Marketing Manager, Mary Shaffer is a Weezie expert and knew exactly which towels to add to her Weezie registry. Pictured above, MS chose a Starter Pack in our Light Blue Piping and Light Blue thread with our Perry monogram!
What Was Gifted:
We gifted Mary Shaffer a long white piped robe with “bride” embroidered in Periwinkle! We love this gift for brides; it is the perfect cozy robe to get ready in on the big day. We also gifted a set of “his” and “hers” towels in matching Grey piping and thread - one of our favorite combos for newlyweds!
The Luncheon Details:
Location: ICYMI, our New York HQ is taking the leap of faith and moving to ATL (P.S. you can read more about our move here!) We are beyond excited to have both of our headquarters in the state of Georgia. When setting out to plan MS’s bridal luncheon, we knew it needed to be in our new hometown.
Food: We served lunch from one of our Atlanta favorites, Alon's. We landed on Alon’s “French Connection” platter with chicken salad, pictured above. (TBH, Weeze HQ has a serious chicken salad addiction!) Not pictured, but equally as yummy, were our smoked turkey and caprese sandwiches. To top off lunch, we served a mini dessert platter and sipped on mimosas, of course.
Invites: No bridal luncheon is complete without fabulous invites! We partnered with a Weezie favorite, Dixie Design, to pick the perfect paper, setting the tone for bright and cheerful festivities ahead. We love that Dixie Design’s origin story is similar to our own - its founder, Jennifer Hunt, launched the company when she came up short looking for holiday cards. With Dixie, customers can order hand-made cards created by real artists without pricey design fees, lengthy production times, or settling for a mass-produced card. Lucky for us (and you too!) Dixie Design now offers full suites of wedding invitations. Be sure to check out the 2020 collection here.
Table place settings: We’re big fans of details and tablescapes, which is why we partnered with Social Studies to set the perfect table. They are absolute pros at all things entertaining and made hosting Mary Shaffer’s luncheon a breeze. Jess and Amy, co-founders of Social Studies, sought out to make throwing a magical party easy and enjoyable for the hosts - which our hosts Liz & Lindsey can attest to! We chose the “Prep Rally” style with plates from Tory Burch. Learn more about how Social Studies is revamping entertaining here.
