Together, we’ve brought those shared values to the course with our latest collection. Learn more about Rae Liu, co-founder of Leatherology, and the inspiration behind this collaboration.

Tell us a little about your journey as co-founders. What pushed you to bring Leatherology to life?
I was deeply influenced by my experience as a young woman working in the fashion industry in New York City in my twenties. I spent much of my early career in accessories, including helping launch Alexander Wang’s handbag and footwear business, and I learned an incredible amount from that experience. It also made me keenly aware of two things: the industry’s relentless push toward “newness,” which often leaves little room for products to be tested and perfected over time, and the fact that I was spending my days helping create beautiful accessories that, as a young woman in New York, I couldn’t afford myself.
That tension stayed with me and ultimately became the spark behind Leatherology. I wanted to create something more enduring — timeless, beautifully made leather goods that felt personal, useful, and attainable — and to do it through a direct-to-consumer model that made better quality and value possible.
We love that both of our brands incorporate “elevating the everyday” into our mission. What does that idea mean to you when you’re dreaming up new product?
To me, elevating the everyday means designing the pieces people actually reach for constantly, and making those items feel more beautiful, thoughtful, and lasting. We’re less interested in trend-driven product and more interested in creating things that are useful, timeless, and satisfying to live with day after day. When we design, we spend a lot of time thinking about form and function together: will this make your life easier, will it wear beautifully, and will you still love it years from now? The best products aren’t just pretty, they become part of your routine in a way that feels effortless. I also love elevating those forgotten items- everyday trinkets and items that we can make beautiful with leather, that you wouldn’t necessarily have thought to do so—think measuring tapes, playing card holders, bookmarks.
What made golf feel like the right space for this collaboration?
Golf was a category both our brands already offered a range of products in, and it felt like a fun and natural extension of what both of our brands already do so well: bring beauty, quality, and personalization into everyday rituals. We also loved that both Leatherology and Weezie approach lifestyle categories in a way that feels elevated but still approachable, polished but practical. There was a shared point of view from the start around quality, personalization, and bringing a little more beauty to the things people use for leisure and routine alike. That made the collaboration feel very organic. Shop the collaboration exclusively at leatherology.com.
Personalization is such a big part of both Leatherology and Weezie. Why do you think people connect so strongly with pieces they can make their own?
I think people connect so strongly with personalized pieces because they create an emotional connection that goes beyond the product itself. A monogram, motif, or special detail can turn something functional into something that feels intimate, giftable, and distinctly yours. We’ve always believed the customer should define the product, not the other way around, and personalization gives people a way to express their own style and story. That’s especially meaningful in categories built around everyday use, because those are the pieces that become part of your life in a very personal way.
Both of our brands champion female-forward teams. How has that shaped the way you’ve built Leatherology?
It has shaped Leatherology in a huge way. We care deeply about building a thoughtful, authentic company, not just creating beautiful products, and a big part of that is building a team culture where people feel empowered, trusted, and connected to a shared purpose. I’ve always believed that culture starts with leadership setting the tone through example, and that the best teams are built deliberately over time. Being surrounded by talented women and working mothers has absolutely influenced the way we think about product too — we’re constantly considering how to create pieces that support real life, whether that means versatility, functionality, beauty, or longevity.
If you had to choose, what’s one Weezie product and one Leatherology product you can’t live without?
It’s hard to choose just one, but from Leatherology I’d say our Transit Travel Tote. It’s truly my go-everywhere bag. It’s one of those rare pieces that truly works for everything — work, travel, everyday life — and I’m always drawn to products that are both beautiful and incredibly practical.
From Weezie, I love the scalloped robe. It feels like such a small luxury in the best way, and honestly my daughter has more or less claimed mine because she loves how soft it is.

At Weezie we often say #enjoythestay – our reminder to appreciate the little moments of delight in your everyday. What’s your favorite way to do that after a long day?
My favorite part of any day is coming home to my kids. They still greet me with those joyful running hugs, and that never stops feeling special. After that, I love taking a walk through my garden — it’s a simple ritual, but it helps me slow down and reset.
I also recently started writing a One Line a Day journal. It’s a simple way to write down one good thing that happened each day, without the stress of a long diary entry. It keeps me grateful and is also manageable.
