We first connected with Laura & Amanda for a trunk show in our flagship in Atlanta. We bonded over a mutual love for color, Texas roots, and the sunnier side of life. Fast forward a year later…our collab is here!
How do you wear your Weezie x Sunshine Tienda Hat?
Laura: I am a sucker for gingham and I like to mix it up with even more prints! I'll be wearing mine with a fun floral sundress!
Amanda: I am LOVING the blue ombre gingham hat. I’ve got a trip to the beach planned this weekend and plan to wear with my new yellow swimsuit – love a good blue/yellow combo.
What's in your beach tote?
Laura: Snacks for my kids, pool toys, beach towels, koozies and a book that I always think I'll get out to read but don't.
Amanda: Snacks for myself , my to-go margarita, a cozy beach read, and a few pareos.
What's one summer essential that you can't live without?
Laura: SUNSCREEN and a HAT. I spent my 20's without ever protecting my face and I am paying for it now! I am always protecting my skin now so sunscreen and a hat are essential for me!

Beach or pool?
Laura: Oh man, this is a hard one. BOTH! If I have the option I'd spend part of the day at the beach and part of the day at the pool. Nothing beats the sound of the waves.
Amanda: Perfect world: beachfront house with a pool.
Favorite destination getaway?
Laura: We go to Mexico A LOT so am I allowed to say the whole country of Mexico? Being in Texas, it's such a quick flight so it's always on the top of our getaway list.
Amanda: Any warm destination nearby water that I can relax with friends and family.
Trip you're most looking forward to this summer?
Laura: We're spending a month in Puerto Escondido this summer and I can't wait to take it down a few notches and work on my Español!
Amanda: The next one! Punta de Mita this weekend with friends.
Tell us a little about yourself!
Laura: Born and raised in Texas! I’m a twin, Pisces, mom, wife, laughter seeker, dreamer, country music fan, easy going gal.
Amanda: I’m one half of a twin set and love to laugh, sing, play and am extremely focused on living a fun, happy and interesting life.
What keeps you busy? What fun projects do you have coming up?
Laura: Sunshine Tienda keeps us very busy with travel and the day to day at our office, which we love! I have a two-year-old and a five-year-old, so my mom duties take up a lot of my time as well!
Amanda: Yes, work is definitely a major player with our time and while I love it, nothing beats a week with no hard plans, morning walks, evening cooking, and time to unwind.

Favorite interior designer or design inspo on Instagram right now?
Laura: This week we just celebrated our first year in our home and I have been slightly obsessed with interior design to stay the least. Just to name a few: @clarybosbyshell @nineandsixteen @jennysteffenshobick
Amanda: I am all about enhancing my wall art at the moment - constantly stalking online auctions and also keeping my eye on @eleanorscottdavis @frankpphillips @liaburkelibaire
What's one piece of advice you'd give your younger self (other than invest in luxury bath towels 😉)?
Laura: Haha, definitely yes to investing in luxury bath towels! I’ve always been such a nervous nelly, and I would love to tell my younger self to stop worrying about everything. There is so much you can’t change and to just enjoy the ride.
Amanda: Two things: Save and invest your money! Be confident in who you are - you got this.
Towel Time dreaming: Favorite place you've traveled and why?
Laura: My favorite place I’ve traveled is always such a hard question for me! Every trip is so special and becomes a new favorite for different reasons. But I think my top, life-changing trip was my first big trip with my husband—we traveled around Puerto Rico and thought up Sunshine Tienda!
Amanda: Laura and I are both so lucky—we grew up with a family who loved to travel and made it a priority in our lives. I traveled to Europe as a summer exchange student in high school. As my first solo international trip, it was probably was the most influential trip I’ve ever taken.
Towel Time entertainment: Last show you binge-watched, last book you read, or last podcast episode you really loved?
Laura: I just finished The White Lotus. And finally finished Yellowstone. Loved both!
Amanda: Always listening to @dannypellegrino‘s podcast - makes me laugh while I sit in traffic, and easy + relaxing reading by @emilyhenrywrites - also loved White Lotus #weloveconniebritton
