Tell us about your journey into design! How did you begin your career as a designer?
My mother is a designer so I’ve been immersed in this world for as long as I can remember! I studied interior design at UGA (Go Dawgs!) and post graduation got the opportunity to work and learn from several talented designers, first in DC, then in Charlotte, before starting my firm in 2012.
Who is your (designer) style icon?
I’m not sure I lean on 1 style icon…waves of inspiration come and go depending on the types of projects I’m working on. I really admire and appreciate many designers before me and love pouring over their work. It inspires me to see such beautiful designs from 70 years ago that are still relevant and timeless today! That’s inspiring!
Where do you look to find inspo?
A better question might be where don’t I look? My eyes are always open to inspiration. Even the most mundane places have their way of bringing beauty into my world. But above all else, travel is what sparks most of my wild ideas!
Can you give us a glimpse into the process of bringing this beautiful bathroom together?
It all started with the floor tile. I immediately fell in love with it, and the soft mauves and pinks of the palette helped dictate the rest of the design.
