Brentwood, TN-based designers, Juli and Mary Elizabeth are the creative brains behind Paperwhites Interiors. The two created a space perfectly suited for our latest launch, our new Patterned Bath Towels.

Tell us about your journey to interior design.

Our journey actually began out of a friendship!  Over 14 years ago, Juli and I were in a sewing group together making day gowns and bubbles for our little ones and discovered we shared a love of fabrics, antiques, decorating, and making a house a home. Providentially, in 2012 we both moved to the same neighborhood just down the street from one another. After lots of shopping trips, scheming, praying, and dreaming up starting a business together, we launched Paperwhites Interiors in 2016!

Your style in a few words:  Classically Southern, Fresh, Welcoming.

Your forever inspo:

We are always inspired by God’s creation and nature’s palette ~ as you can see with our love of green and blue and florals ~  Whether it’s the low country, the beach, the mountains, or a backyard garden! We also love the classics and antique pieces that tell a story.

Can you give us a glimpse into the process of bringing this beautiful space together?

Green, blue, and trellis?  Yes please!  This guest bath is actually in my home (Mary Elizabeth’s) and was part of a renovation we completed in 2019.  I fell in love with this wallcovering right away and knew we had to use it somewhere, as it feels like a Spring-like and fresh all year long.  I absolutely love the antique bamboo etagere that Juli found for me for a song at a yard sale!  It is the perfect piece to hold my collection of pretty hand towels, many that were hand embroidered by my mother.
