Tell us about your journey into design! How did you begin your career as a designer?

It all started when I was renovating my own house. I started creating paint and lighting schedules for the contractor without even knowing what a schedule was- all the contractors asked if was a designer and it got my wheels spinning…  I didn’t even know custom furniture existed until a friend showed me a catalog. I studied it all weekend, ordered 13 pieces, drove down to NC to pick it up myself and I became obsessed. Helping out one friend led to another and the rest is history!

Your (designer) style icon: I fall in love with someone new every day… but Dorothy Draper has consistently been my favorite!

Where do you look to find inspo: TRAVEL! Instagram, window shopping, hotels, fun restaurants and cafes, and of course nature.

The design brief:

Wallcovering: Christopher Farr Cloth

Vanity Color: Benjamin Moore 1359 Peppermint

Lighting: Dunes and Duchess (Sconces & Chandelier)

Mirror: Dunes and Duchess

Kohler Fixtures: Sink Faucet Spout, Sink Faucet Trim

Anything else you want to include/give a shout out! Urban Coast tile and Samuel and Sons trim on the sconce shades! Flower Bomb by the amazing Carlos Muina of Petal Productions

Before you go…

Favorite Weezie item? I am obsessed with everything scallop, and my daughters are in love with the robes! Weezie is our go-to gift!

What are you reading? I am audio book girl- so I just finished Capote’s Women. I did a deep dive- between the book, the Hulu series, and being in Palm Beach!

Who are you following? My current Instagram favs are… Becknyc for everything girly and pink, Marcy Blum- I seem to always be planning a wedding, Susan Magrino for her outfits, and Tom Samet for his Sunday Sermons

What’s next? Sooo much! A ton of fun installs this summer, and a very new MGI website with some fun features…

Recent interiors splurge: Oh thank you for giving me permission- I keep putting myself at the bottom of the list… hairdresser’s hair is never done! Will report back next time.

Recent interiors steal: I recently scored some fun vintage fan chairs- think I need to keep for myself!

Recent Instagram saves: Currently collecting all the inspo for my own home’s renovation…
