Can you give us a glimpse into the process of bringing this beautiful bathroom together? It started with the fun coral wallpaper and then became an obvious spot for my shell collections and little framed shell collections I have collected on my travels. I wanted the bathroom to feel soft and comfortable as had three children to bathe when we first moved here, so added an armchair, a rug from India, soft fabric lampshades and piles of books. Piles of fresh towels and jars of delicious bath salts add to make this room a space one really wants to spend down time in.
Your (designer) style icon: Vanessa Bell, she was one of the Bloomsbury group who lived in a beautiful farmhouse down the road from me here in Sussex.
Where do you look to find inspo: All around me, all the time. From the decorative Charleston, home of the Bloomsbury group, to all the colour and pattern I have witnessed on my travels through India. I look to nature and the pattern of leaves esp and so have also drawn lots of inspo from the forest on my doorstep in England.
The design brief: Keep it comfortable, fun, joyful and allow bathtimes a place to luxuriate. Wallpaper: Sky Mughal Starter Pack: Sitting Chair
Before you go....
Favorite Weezie item? The Mughal embroidered MM hand towel!
Who are you following? Mestizmx - I am loving all their colour blocking, craft skills and fun they offer on Insta
What’s next? More block print; my passion continues for this amazing craft that is taking me on such an inspiring journey. I am super excited to be working on a new fabric collection that really celebrates the woodlands that I live in. A collection of leaf and tree patterns in colours that I have found on our family walks from primrose yellow to foxglove pink and all the delicious greens in between. This will be a super sustainable fabric collection using new fibres such as aloe and bamboo to offer up something still bursting with pattern as well as being super thoughtful for the planet.
