A winter spent at home has us craving new adventures. Rank and Style CEO, Jamie Chandlee, gave us a tour of her hometown Austin, TX, and the city is checking all of our boxes. Keep reading for all of her picks.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your journey to becoming the CEO of Rank & Style! Tell us more about the site and its origin story.

Rank & Style was originally founded by three women in NYC in 2013. They were fed up with the lack of transparency and unbiased product recommendations in the fashion, beauty, and lifestyle industry.

What specifically sparked this need was the previous CEO’s desire to find the best organic sunscreen. She felt that any resource online was driven by PR or advertising dollars, whereas if she were searching for a consumer electronic (a cordless vacuum, for example), she could get a truly unbiased recommendation. So, the founding team set out to use data available online to build an algorithm that produced unbiased Top 10 lists for product recommendations in the fashion, beauty, and lifestyle categories.

Rank & Style is our go-to source for Top 10 lists.  Can you share a few personal Top 10s?

You and our cofounder Liz share a hometown of Austin. What’s your favorite part of living in ATX? Do you have any insider tips for those visiting this fall?

Austin has so much to offer! From trying out new restaurants to shopping at the best boutiques to getting your outdoor fix on Lake Austin or the Greenbelt, I find it's the perfect place to live and settle down.

Fall is one of my favorite times of year in Austin. I have my fingers crossed for cooler temps soon, but it's nice to be able to do all the things I love without worrying about it blizzarding. Also, it's UT football season—hook 'em!

We are headed to ATX for the weekend, what's on the itinerary?

Where to sleep?

Where to eat?

Where to drink...

Where to bring the kiddos? [Include somewhere we can plug the cover up and/or beach towels!]

Outdoor activities, etc.  You can normally find me on Lake Austin - we have really taken up wake surfing and my kids are becoming pros. We keep Weezie beach towels and coverups handy, of course! The Museum of Ice Cream recently opened and has been a big hit. Barton Springs is still the best spot to cool off on a hot summer day. The new Waterloo Greenway Park is stunning and the best way to kill a few hours on a Sunday!

Our Kid's Coverups are currently sold out, but coming back soon! You can sign up to be notified when they are available here.

Where your hubby might want to hide your credit card?

All the best shops and boutiques, please! ByGeorge, Kick Pleat, Neighborhood Goods, Valentine’s, Maufrais
