Neely and Chloe Burch are the cofounders of Neely & Chloe, the handbag and footwear company that’s all about timeless and elevated styles. Their parents stumbled upon Palm Beach back in 1991, when a hurricane forced them to leave the Bahamas. Way back when, Neely and Chloe used to set up lemonade stands outside their house – or when business was slow, they would take their stand on the road, down to the hair salon next door.

"Their parents stumbled upon Palm Beach back in 1991,
when a hurricane forced them to leave the Bahamas."

They highly recommend Palm Beach in the spring, when it’s not too hot, not too cold – all you need is the Weekender Pebble tote from Neely & Chloe (or this clear bucket bag). They’re big enough to travel with, and they go with everything!

Where to Sleep

The Brazilian Court. We used to stay here before we moved into our house. It’s a Palm Beach institution – an actual landmark, with all the glamour of the Roaring 20s. Plus there’s tons of Spanish colonial architecture, tropical courtyards, and it’s right by the ocean. You can relax by the pool, or even book some time at their unreal Brazilian salon. Neely says it has the best breakfast. Try their fresh-squeezed orange juice!

Or for something just as historic – but a little less traditional – The Colony Hotel is where it’s at. It’s Palm Beach’s pinkest hotel, which we love, of course. It’s got iconic cocktails, which the Duke and Duchess of Windsor once sipped, and they’ll even bring them right to you while you relax on the beach.

Where to Eat

Brunch:
Surfside Diner used to be a restaurant called Hamburger Heaven (which we really miss- it actually was heaven), but now it’s an amazing local diner. The Surfside Diner really is surfside — it’s right by the beach! Perfect for breakfast or brunch before a beach day.

Lunch:
Coyo Taco just opened up in the Royal Poinciana Plaza, and it’s a perfect casual lunch option. It’s this authentic Mexican food experience, plus it’s all about sustainability. They go for organic, locally-sourced and humanely-harvested ingredients – and, as they say, “todo es fresco” – everything is fresh! Including the tortillas and guac that they make in-house every day.

Dinner:
Whenever we’re not in Palm Beach, we dream about Buccan. It’s a James Beard nominee, and the pork tacos and tuna crisps are our absolute favorites.

Dessert:
What’s a beach day without ice cream? Our favorites are Sprinkles Ice Cream and Sloane’s.

Where to Drink…

…coffee: it’s a bit of a splurge, but Sant Ambroeus has the best coffee. Plus it’s inspired by the cafés in Italy in the 1950s, so the whole experience feels a little retro and elevated.

…cocktails: Buccan again! They have a mean spicy margarita that we just cannot resist.

…late night: we’re not the biggest late night gals, but if we’re not at someone’s house for a nightcap, we usually end up at Cucina. They’ve got great music, and Thursdays are Girls’ Night Out themed!

Where to Play

It’s not vacation without a little clothes shopping. When we were little, we spent a lotttt of our time at PB Girls Club. Now, we usually peruse Worth Avenue or The Royal Poinciana Plaza for the good sales.

And since Neely’s a sucker for antiquing, a trip to Palm Beach almost always involves a trip over to antique row on Dixie Highway

For exercise, the bike path is our go-to. But if Chloe’s in the mood for a class, she’ll sweat it out at OrangeTheory. Neely’s been on a swimming kick lately, so she’ll hop in the pool.

We asked Neely and Chloe, if you were designing a Palm Beach powder room of your dreams, what would be included? Of course they didn't disappoint with their answers!

    • Sink: This marble, brass and lucite baby 😍 with some traditional brass hardware like this.
    • Paint: Go big or go home - we're thinking high gloss paint or lacquer for a super clean, but bold look in Benjamin Moore Sheer Bliss.
    • Mirror: This round white mirror from made goods.
    • Lighting: These custom Double Cascade Sconces from Maison Charles to pull out the brass hardware from the sink.
    • Art: I have been dying to get my hands on these Ornis Gallery prints: print one and print two. (I’m after the cheetah print for my living room.)
    • Accessory: Nest Bamboo 3-wick candle
    • Weezie towels: Weezie hand towels in light blue of course! With the Mercer embroidered ‘B’
    • Tile: I love bringing in a little color for in the mosaic tiles as well. This updated basketweave is 🤤
