Tell us a little about yourself! Where are you based, and what does a typical day look like for you?
Hi! I’m Maggie Smith, the owner of Ami à Vie, a luxury bachelorette planning and bridal gifting company. I am located in Birmingham, AL, and I spend my days planning elevated bachelorette fêtes across the country (& beyond!).
A typical day for me varies greatly, but it usually consists of client calls, locking in accommodations and reservations, collaborating with vendors, or curating personalized decor and gifting for my clients’ special weekends.

What inspires you the most when planning the perfect fête?
I’ve always had a deep love for hospitality and creating memorable experiences for others. What truly inspires me is the chance to bring my clients’ personalities to life through their celebrations. Every bride is unique, and I get inspired by diving into their preferences and uncovering the details that make them them. Whether it’s a specific destination, a clever theme, or a creative activity, those “aha!” moments when I discover their perfect fit are the absolute best. Knowing that what I’ve planned will make them feel genuinely celebrated is what inspires me most about what I do.

How do you add personal touches to make the weekend extra special for the bride?
What sets Ami à Vie apart is how tailored each celebration is. No two bachelorettes are ever the same. From start to finish, I create a fully custom experience based on the bride’s personality, her group, and the location of the fête.
One way I elevate the weekend is by encouraging moments of surprise throughout. Instead of revealing everything up front, I suggest saving a few “wow” moments for different activities. For example, surprise the group with custom trucker hats right before a boat day or bring in a private bartender as a surprise for poolside cocktails named after the bride’s favorite things. It keeps the weekend exciting and ensures every moment feels special.
