Texas-based designer Sarah Brannon created a little girl's bathroom with a masterful mix of hues. Keep reading for all of the details on the playful space.

Tell us about your journey to interior design.

I took a very traditional route into the industry; I went to Texas Tech and majored in Interior Design as a freshman and stuck it out the entire time. I had an amazing residential internship in Dallas between my junior and senior years that helped me land great jobs after college! And only since my husband's job moved us to West Texas in late 2018 was I brave enough to go out on my own!

Your style in a few words:

Tailored eclectic. I LOVE to mix old and new, color and pattern. But I always want the finished room to be well thought out and to scale.

Your forever inspo:

Any room that has something old {antique or vintage} mixed into the space!

You recently completed an amazing bathroom and included some special Weezie pieces. Can you give us a glimpse into the process of bringing this beautiful space together?

Weezie is always the natural go-to anytime I am working with a client on a bathroom design, and I loved in this specific room that we were mixing in coral with the lavender!

The design brief:

Before you go…

What are you reading?

Horrible reader (eek hate to admit that!) But I have The Giver of Stars on my nightstand that I pick up and read 4 pages and fall asleep (that's what reading does to me and why I am so bad at getting through a book!)

What’s next?

For now to keep designing and trying to photograph all of my work (however small the project) to continue to grow my portfolio and show the world more of Sarah Brannon Interiors!

Recent interiors splurge:

A commissioned piece of art by a fabulous Midland artist, Jodee Molina! For my husband's birthday I had her paint his great-great grandad in a really fun and funky style.

Recent interiors steal:

I always recommend custom drapery (duh), but if you can save money on the fabric it is a less painful pill to swallow. I have a great source for solid brushed cotton fabrics that are cheap and make up beautifully as drapery (and you can even buy a yard or two of a contrast color and make a trim for the leading edge!)

Recent Instagram saves:

A genius brass floor air vent over a template rug, a collage of acrylic framed Barbies, a navy lacquered bar with brass inlay, lots of wallpaper…SO MANY THINGS!
